About Soukaina Sourouri, Esq.

Soukaina-Headshot-2025

Soukaina Sourouri is an experienced and passionate advocate who has demonstrated success in both the public and private sector.

Soukaina’s first principle is to litigate with compassion while also zealously advocating for her clients. She has dedicated herself to helping those at the most trying times of their lives with a human-centered focus to her practice.

Soukaina’s experience centers predominantly on family law–including divorce, legal separation, custody and visitation, child support, family offenses, and orders of protection. However, she also has experience in both immigration matters and real estate transactions.

Soukaina’s dedication to the practice of law was first developed at the City University of New York Law School where she attended evening classes while also working full-time for the Law Office of Rosa Pannitto, P.C.

After graduation, Soukaina began to hone her skills in private practice at the Law Firm of Glenna A. Yost, but an opportunity to further develop her skills in the public sector presented itself and Soukaina then became a Court Attorney for the Honorable Janet L. McFarland, sitting for the Richmond County Family Court. The experience Soukaina gained as Judge McFarland’s Court Attorney was invaluable as she gained firsthand knowledge on the practice of family law from the perspective of the Court.

Soukaina has spent the entirety of her practice in her hometown of Staten Island. That level of familiarity allows her to be a better advocate for her clients, to deeply understand the challenges and struggles they face, and to resolve matters as efficiently as possible.

Soukaina currently serves as the President of the Staten Island’s Women’s Bar Association, while also being a member in good standing with the Richmond County Bar Association, the Staten Island Trial Lawyers Association, and Columbian Lawyers of Brooklyn.

Given her dedication to helping those in need, Soukaina is also a member of the Assigned Counsel Panel for Richmond County Family Court as well as the Attorney for the Child Panel in Richmond County.

Since 2017, Soukaina has been a volunteer at the CUNY! Citizenship Now Foundation where she assists in legal screenings for people seeking permanent residence and/or applying for citizenship.
